Wisdom of the Aged

Wisdom. Knowledge. Understanding.

People spend a lot of time, money and energy to gain more knowledge than the next person. It's a never ending game for some, and for others it's a huge mountain that seems impossible to conquer. All the philosophers of the ages have studied, taught and written their understanding of life as they know it. We study them today in our schools and on the streets. Men such as Plato, Aristotle, Augustine and Machiavelli. But their wisdom is earthly wisdom. As such, it doesn't hold against God's wisdom, or His Word.

Job 32:9 " Great men are not always wise, nor do the aged always understand justice."

1 Corinthians 1:20 "Where is the wise? Where is the scribe? where is the disputer of this age? Had not God made foolish the wisdom of this world?"

1 Corinthians 2:5 "that your faith should not be in the wisdom of men but in the power of God"

Many verse tell us to rely not on man's understanding, who only see a limited amount of things, but to rely on God's wisdom, who can see all things, knows all things and created all things.

The world tells us to believe only that which we can see and touch. Many can not understand how believers live in faith of the unseen.

It's called faith for a reason. Faith that there is a God. Faith that this God is Yahweh, The Holy One, Christ Jesus, Prince of Peace and my Savior. Faith that there is only one way to God, through His son Jesus.

Through this faith in God, He shows His presence to His children, His providence in times of trouble, His faithfulness in all times of need.

I pray you gain an understanding of God's wisdom verse earthly wisdom.

God Bless!
