As I was catching up on my blog reader this morning, I noticed two themes.
Love (Marriage, dates, Valentines Day ideas, projects, etc)
Organizing Home (de-clutter challenges, cleaning charts and tips, etc)
The one that struck me the most was the second theme...organizing home.
How many times do we fall behind in our housecleaning? If you're anything like me, it's daily! How depressing, and utterly...ugly.
I have an inner perfectionist, who tells me that I need things spick and span...but my inner lazy self doesn't listen to her sister. I'm sure that doesn't surprise my Mom at all, ;)
I was looking through a few blogs, who'd entered a challenge with pictures and all about the spaces they want to tackle.
So much stuff. Too much. Then I looked around my home...so much stuff. Too much.
Why do we feel the need to fill our homes with stuff? Stuff: that we don't use, don't love, got for an idea and never used, guilt stuff (you know, that thing that Grandma gave you, or the other thing your best friend got you that you'd feel bad for giving up but just doesn't do it for ya!)...STUFF.
It seems like every time we got through our stuff, a few weeks later we're back to where we started...Why?! How?!
Oh, thats right...we keep buying stuff. Stuff we don't like, don't need, don't love.
So, not only do we have to clean and clear our stuff out, but to prevent it from coming IN in the first place!
Oh, have fun with that one Peggy!!! HA...
So...I'm off to do some stuff clearing...will you?!
