Our son has been under the weather this past weekend, so of course...we're all a bit blurry eyed and sleep deprived.
Poor baby had a fever and crusty eyes and nose. He still has a touch of fever here and there. So I'm keeping him doctored up with nose and eye drops and vicks on the feet. Mommy has lots of cuddles ready for when he needs them, which is often.
On to other news. This weekend was Fathers Day. I was SO excited to be able to do something special and unique for my husband, from his son. So my Mom and got together at her house and let Jeremiah play with his first paints, (yogurt and food coloring). He painted Daddy his first Picasso. And Daddy LOVED it. :D Now we are trying to figure out where to display this painting. I have a few ideas, but it'll be Daddys last word, since it was his gift.
It was SO hot yesterday...over 100. (insert "I'm melting" here) But our church had some fun set up for Dads and their kids.
DUNK TANK! WATER GUNS!
What better way to celebrate Dad...than to soak him in water on a hot day!? :) It was a lot of fun to watch the Dads become kids again with their kids...hmm...they are big kids already! ;) But that's not necessarily a bad thing.
So this is a day belated, but...
HAPPY FATHER'S DAY!
Especially to my husband.
You have wanted to be a father since way before we met. I'm so happy that you go to spend your Father's Day with our son. I love you, and can't wait til next year when Jeremiah can dunk you in the tank! ;)
