Whatever you do, do your work heartily, as for the Lord rather than for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance. It is the Lord Christ whom you serve.
Colossians 3:23-24
Whatever I do.
That means...changing diapers, washing dishes, wipes faces, being patient with crying babies, laundry, cooking...everything.
Everything my hand touches, is an opportunity to serve the Lord with joy and thanksgiving. Wow.
I can't say that I'm joyful with all things. In fact, I could say I'm bitter about some. That isn't what God wants from me. He wants a soft heart, a kind women, wife and mother. Someone who joyfully goes about her day, loving those around her.
Again, wow.
Today, I strive to be thankful for those dirty diapers, those unwashed dishes, those crying babies, those requests from my husband.
It means I have precious ones to hold, love and be loved in return.
What can you do today, to be joyful and thankful for that which you do daily?
